  The NOx sensor is a key component in the aftertreatment system of internal combustion engines. Its main function is to detect the concentration of nitrogen oxides (NOx) in the engine exhaust. This sensor is typically used in engines equipped with a selective catalytic reduction system (SCR) with urea injection. By feeding the measured NOx concentration value back to the engine control unit (ECU), precise control of exhaust emissions is achieved, ensuring compliance with emission standards.

  A NOx sensor consists of a sensor probe, control module, connecting plug, and cable. The core component is the sensor probe, which houses high-quality planar ceramic chips. These chips are manufactured using a high-temperature co-fired ceramic (HTCC) process and integrate a heater and multilayer ceramic components. The sensor uses the electrochemical principle of the ceramic chip to accurately detect the NOx and O2 content in the exhaust gas by measuring the current.

  In practical applications, the NOx sensor demonstrates several advantages. For example, it has a fast start-up time, typically less than 80 seconds; a wide measurement range, with NOx measurement ranging from 0 to 2500 ppm; and offers various connector types and cable lengths to meet different vehicle and usage requirements. In addition, its fully sealed waterproof design ensures the stability and durability of the sensor.
